Asia-Pacific Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (APN+)

APN+, the Asia Pacific Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS is committed to improving the quality of life of people with HIV/AIDS in the region. It was born in February 1994 when 42 people living with HIV/AIDS (PWHA) from eight different countries met in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to lobby for the betterment of PWHA in the Asia Pacific region. The PWHA present were from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. A Board of Representatives was set up and the secretariat was based in Kuala Lumpur under the supervision of the founder, Jack Singh.

Today APN+ has become a regional network of GNP+ (Global Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS) with contacts and representatives in over 23 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, French Polynesia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Pakistan and the Philippines.
