Our objectives and goals are to:
1. Facilitate communication and information sharing between
    LGBTIQ+ in the region, such as maintaining an electronic
    mailing list;

2. Increase profile, visibility and presence of LGBTIQ+, specifically     transgenders and people of indigenous/ethno-local identities, in
    the region and outside, such as participating in regional and
    international events and conferences;

3. Undertake concerted advocacy in the local and regional level,
    such as setting up a mechanism for emergency response or
    action; and

4. Undertake resource mobilisation.

Membership Structure
• Full membership (for organisations within the region)
• Supporting individual membership (for individual activists)
• Associate membership (for organisations outside the region)

NEW - (Colombo, 19 January 2007) The AIDS Society of Asia and the Pacific (ASAP) and UNAIDS have met today in Colombo, Sri Lanka as members of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) to the 8 th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) which is scheduled to be held in Colombo between 19-23 August 2007.
