The new Executive Committee of ASAP commenced on World AIDS Day, 1 December 2005. Members currently include:

2. Dr Tasnim Azim of the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh, Vice President and VECM

3. Prof Dennis Altman – Immediate Past President

4. Assoc. Prof Roy Chan of Action for AIDS - Singapore VECM

5. Prof Elizabeth Dax of the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine - Australia VECM

6. Ms Kamanee Hapugalle of Community Development Services – Sri Lanka VECM

7. Mr Zahid Hussein of the Sustainable Resource Foundation – Pakistan VECM

8. Prof Adeeba Kamarulzaman of the Malaysian AIDS Council - Malaysia VECM

NEW - (Colombo, 19 January 2007) The AIDS Society of Asia and the Pacific (ASAP) and UNAIDS have met today in Colombo, Sri Lanka as members of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) to the 8 th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) which is scheduled to be held in Colombo between 19-23 August 2007.
