Seven Sisters and its members signed the Declaration of Unity on Drugs & HIV: The Twin Experience at the XVI International AIDS Conference, August 2006 in Toronto.

In May 2006 Seven Sisters responded to ASEAN Secretariat’s invitation for feedback and recommendations on outcome documents for the 2nd Special Session on HIV and AIDS, 12th ASEAN Summit. Seven Sisters call for action was contained in a Consultation Statement submitted to ASEAN Secretariat. Parts of it were included in the publication “Stopping AIDS, Acting Together: Strategic Framework for the Third ASEAN Work Programme on HIV and AIDS (2006 - 2010)”.

The Coalition was also invited by the ASEAN Secretariat to Singapore for ASEAN Inter-Country Consultation held from 25-28 July 2006 to represent civil society groups at high risk for HIV.

NEW - (Colombo, 19 January 2007) The AIDS Society of Asia and the Pacific (ASAP) and UNAIDS have met today in Colombo, Sri Lanka as members of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) to the 8 th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) which is scheduled to be held in Colombo between 19-23 August 2007.
